Remote Area First Aid 4WD Touring Course (HLTAID005 Provide first aid in remote situations)

Our highly rated 4WD Touring Remote Area First Aid course has now been released to the open market. A course that was originally designed for our government and 4WD Club clients, is now taking books. Learners who undertake this course will be exposed to a number of realistic lifelike emergency scenarios which are all based off either real incidents the training team have professional responded in their other roles. During this course learners will take part in and learn how to respond to the following scenarios;

  • multiple vehicle accidents – multiple injuries
  •     winch breakage – internal and external bleeding
  •     fire pit incident – multiple limbs burnt
  •     Fall from heights – off the top of a parked vehicle
  •     allergic reaction – reaction to a bee sting
  •     envenomation – snake bite
  •     jack failure – crush injury, internal bleeding
  •     identifying a person who is sick and needs to be evacuated
  •     identification of strokes and heart attack
  •     calling for help in remote locations
  •     setting up for arriving medical assistance
  •     monitoring and managing shock
  •     And More!!!!

Learners will gain the following Statement of Attainments upon successful completion of the course;

  • HLTAID005 – Provide first aid in remote situations
  • HLTAID003 – Provide First Aid‎
  • HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

This course is 90% practical; learners will be assessed via the pre-course learning and via the practical scenarios throughout the duration of the course. The following assessment tasks are required for this course:
