Keith is the principle Director of KMR Management Pty Ltd trading as Remote Safety Solutions, which was formed in 2009.

After coordinating a number of incident reviews involving remote area accidents, Keith observed a growing need for further training beyond first aid, so he created RSS to provide incident management training.

From the start Keith’s goal was to educate organisations and individuals about the importance of planning for potential remote workplace incidents as well as up skilling individuals to ensure that they have the skills to manage such incident when they occur.

BACKGROUND

With an adventure background derived from working as a guide in Australia and overseas as a bushwalking, canyoning, rock climbing, and ski touring Instructor and from his own outdoor pursuits, ice-climbing and mountaineering has lead him to being regarded as a highly competent and professional adventurer. These activities and experiences has lead Keith to become a recognised adventure management specialists which has been demonstrated by his involvement in anumber of boards, steering committees and as a speaker at a number of industry conferences and events.

Keith combines his recreational skills and knowledge with his professional experiences, bring his clients a holistic approach to critical incident management. His professional skills & knowledge comes from with experiences as a;

  • Rescue Helicopter Air Crewman / Rescue Crewman

  • Professional Ski Patroller

  • First Aid / Advance Emergency Care Instructor

  • Surf Life Saver

  • Outdoor Recreation Train the Trainer

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certificate IV in Emergency Medical Response

  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assesment

  • Certificate III in Aviation

  • Certificate IV in Mechanical Engineering

  • Cert III in Media Management

Keith’s dedication and passion to increasing safety margins for those that operate in remote locations has lead to the creation of a company that strives for continue improvement and innovation in this relatively new area of Remote Area Workplace Management.
