  • Keith McReynolds
    Keith is the founding Director of Remote Safety Solutions and has a diverse background, with an adventure background derived from working as a guide in Australia and overseas he has dealt with a range of remote incidents within his own adventures. Keith's emergency management and first aid skills are derived from working as Ski Patroller and Rescue Air Crewman for a number of rescue and emergency services. When Keiths not in the office he's on the road traveling with his team to some of Australias most remote and isolated communities delivering a range of courses to better prepare people for any unforeseen incidents they may encounter.

This unit covers the competency required to apply safe work practices when operating in or around aircraft at an airbase and when engaged in a range of non-specialist, air operations activities.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This unit applies to personnel performing primary aviation roles within the Australasian Inter-service Incident Management System (AIIMS) and all other aviation support roles when operating in or around aircraft. The primary AIIMS aviation roles that require this unit are Air Operations Manager, Aircraft Officer, Air Observer, Air Attack Supervisor and Air Base Manager, environmental officers, volunteer rescue operators, feral pest controllers, agricultural workers, film and broadcast and offshore workers

QUALIFICATION

Learners will gain the following Statement of Attainments for successful completion of the course;

  • PUAFIR209B. Work safely around aircraft.

DURATION

The standard RSS Work safely around aircraft course duration totals 6 hours of learning consist of the following breakdown;

  • 6 hours face to face delivery
PRICE

Course fee is $350.00 Per/Person (Course minimums apply to this course) Travel and accommodation to remote locations is not included in the above figure

VENUE

Your worksite is our classroom, we bring the training team to you. For on-site WSAA courses, RSS utilize your aircraft for the practical ground school components. For organizations without access to an aircraft, RSS has access to a number of aircrafts around Australia which can be utilized for this course. If an Aircraft is required to be flown this will be added to the course fee. Discounts apply for group bookings
